Directions approaching Mullingar: When you turn left at the top of the slipway you will see the Mullingar Park Hotel on your right. You will then come to a roundabout. Proceed straight through the roundabout which is sign-posted Tullamore. (This is the new ring road around Mullingar.) Follow this road for approximately 2 miles – passing through 3 more roundabouts. At the third roundabout take the 2nd exit. Mullingar Athletic Club is not in Rochfortbridge, it is located on the R400 - Rochfortbridge Road, not far outside Mullingar. On the map it appears as if the N52 joins the R400 directly, but the R400 is a bridge over the N52 and the access is further down the road back towards Mullingar. Take the next left – sign-posted Rochfortbridge (R400). This turn left is approximately 300 yards after the roundabout and quite a dangerous junction, as the road curves back, so take it handy. You will cross over the N52 about 250 yards up this road. Follow this road for about a mile (passing a turn on the right, passing another turn on the left, and a school on the right). Just after the school and on the right you arrive at the Grounds of Mullingar Athletic AFC. |
